This is an appreciation site for both Land Rovers, and wine.
Just an amateur (me), and fun (also for me) site for both Land Rover, and wine lovers. Why? Both are enjoyable, both age well (unlike me), and it gives me a chance to test both. :)
"Toyota may make the ultimate in 4x4's - but the Landys have soul, heart and a dreamer's appeal that money and logic can't buy...
Mad? Possibly, but watch me smile when I turn the key!" Quote by unknown.
2011 A trip to Morocco in April, proposed route currently in discussion. Possibly Libya/Tunisia sometime depending on others, or not, I may just go by myself. :)
2010 A wonderful and enjoyable, albeit a testing trip to the Swiss/Italian alps, through France, taking in Germany, Liechtenstein, Austria, Italy and Switzerland.
A return trip to the Pyrenees; Calais - St Amand Montrond - Carcassonne - Andorra - Spanish Pyrenees - Ainsa - French Pyrenees - Pauillac - Sees - Calais. Well we're back; 2,555mls of pure pleasure! Dirt tracks, mountain passes, gorges, stunning scenery and fantastic weather, who could ask for more.
2009 That came and went far too quick; A marvellous trip to the Pyrenees in Easter, camping in the New Forest a number of weekends thoughout April-October, 5 days camping in the IOW in late November/Dec and a short hop to Honfleur in France to stock up on wine. Libya is now proposed until 2010/11 due to others pulling out, such is life!
2008 Was quiet due to the purchase of the 110; a short trip in March, an even shorter one in June, a very pleasant trip to the Swiss alps in October and a fine enjoyable short hop to France in November.
2007 Has come and gone, and with it, my first 2 overland trips, albeit brief ones, the LandyRally and a Wine and Alp tour.
I shall endeavour to try to update the site on a regular basis, and add any travelog when I'm able to, though can't guarantee it will exciting, nor informative. :)
But hey, "ONE LIFE, LIVE IT"Land Rover owners motto
Thank you for looking!
